OK, SO. Here goes nothing.

With their secret identities still hidden from view, Fistrejya and Super Shorts had had enough of the education being bludgeoned into their brains from the basement of a freshman dorm. By this point, the struggle for the power outlets had turned into a bonding experience. One day, Fisty (as her admirers called her), decided to invite Super Shorts for some drinks with friends. Accompanied by Quizzie and Nil the Not-so-easy-EZ-Pass Queen, the four went to the most redneck bar in all of New Jersey - or at least that's what Super Shorts thought at the time. Thankfully, due to the redneckery of the bar, Fleetwood Mac soon came onto the juke box. Without a moments hesitation - and aided by the copious amounts of booze - the friends echoed the lyrics to Rhiannon until deep into the night. Feeling like a true team, the gang decided to buy tickets to Fleetwood Mac on the way home. It was settled, they were going to be friends for a long time, or someone was going to be out $80!

But alas, the story must get worse before it gets better. The morning of the show, Fisty texted SuperShorts with an odd request: "Um...so I may or may not have left the tickets in my apartment in Highland Park... and I may or may not be in Philly already." SuperShorts sprung into action. With a little less than an hour before he was supposed to leave for the show, he jumped into the SuperShorts mobile (it's super because its in dire need of repair yet continues to run) and drove to Highland Park. After getting the key from the safe, SuperShorts entered Fisty's home. Upon entering, he was floored at the color, greenery, and care that had gone into such a quaint apartment. "I will live here one day," SuperShorts thought - although he did not know why. The unconscious is a weird place.

With the tickets in hand, Fisty, Quizzie, and SuperShorts met in Philly and rocked the F*CK out. Another day saved by our heroes.

Fistreja and Super Shorts Go Digital

Once upon a time...not long ago, actually,...two not super young, aspiring graduate students sat next to one another in a musty classroom on the basement "floor" of an old brick building in god-knows-where New Jersey. It could not have been a more typical graduate school experience. Fistreja, as she would later be named, was diligently pretending to take notes on the history of pauperism in Britain and North America. In actuality, she was trying to retrace the exact steps, i.e. the life breakdown, that must have led her into this dungeon of a classroom on the east coast. Meanwhile, Super Shorts and the Stapler, known to all at the time as Alex and Ryan, sat expertly flipping between their course notes and scrolling through the various social media, current events, and comic tabs open on their laptops. If one were to look upon this scene from the single, tiny window in the door of the classroom, he or she would hardly notice the key element that brought these super heroes together on that fateful evening--the outlet of power!

Now in today's world one might expect there to be more than one power outlet in a "digital classroom," but, luckily for our super heroes, the term "digital" involves much fewer electrical features at a public university in New Jersey. It is perhaps tragic to think that, without this single power outlet, Fistreja might never have approached the Princeton duo. But, as destiny would have it, her not-so-trusty, fruit-labeled laptop was, without a doubt, unable to hold a charge through a single class in her graduate program. And so, the three-way dual for the two-outlet power source began...and continued...every Monday...from 6:40-8:40p...September through December...until, of course, the super bond between our incredibly domestic characters was formed. Thus, it is through this single power source and this incredibly domestic exchange of chords that the adventures of Fistreja and Super Shorts began.

But I am not here today to recount all the details of Fistreja's and Super Shorts' incredibly domestic origin story or the many sagas that followed. I am here to announce Fistreja's incredibly domestic decision to take "The Incredibly Domestic Adventures of Fistreja and Super Shorts" online. And, of course, to extend my super domestic invitation to Super Shorts to journey with me into the incredibly domestic realm of social media and...blogging.

To start us off, I have developed our unbelievably domestic avatars in bitstrips (they are, in fact, WAY more domestic, i.e. PG, than I had intended) and I have created a tiny image to document our first digital adventure. I have sent you a super domestic and generic invite to edit this blog via this website!  I am challenging you to this new form of domestic adventure and hope you will join me!

Much love,

Fistreja!
